This program consists of a Cakewalk .WRK file
that will let you select a drum style
pattern from a list.
Each drum pattern was given its own separate
track, so remember to mute the unwanted drum
pattern tracks before you begin. Although you
can get some interesting results when you mix
drum patterns.
The patterns were recorded using MIDI
channel 10. And the default set will be for
ROLAND drums. Including the R8, R5, D Series.
MT32, Lapc. and most Roland products.
The reason is that Roland is pretty consistent
in keeping it's drums in the same order
from product to product.
Each drum pattern has a verse, chorus,
variation, and ride, along with fills.
Using the editing features of Cakewalk,
you can cut and paste different sections
to make it fit your song.
Another feature is being able to loop a pattern,
and let it play while you are working out your tune.
Most users of Cakewalk already know the
basic features, and how to move items around.
But for those who need help, I can suggest
a method for using a certain drum pattern
in your own composition.
First off , save the entire
drumpat.wrk file .
Load the drumpat.wrk file
Delete the drum patterns that you will
not need in your composition.
Then proceed to lay down the tracks that
you wish, along with your drum track.
When finished, save the file with a
name other than drumpat.wrk
